1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CuraTools ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including healthcare professionals, students, and other visitors.

2. Nature of Service

CuraTools is an educational and clinical decision-support platform providing medical calculators, scoring tools, visual mapping engines, and study resources. The Platform is designed to assist healthcare professionals in clinical reasoning and is not a substitute for professional medical judgement.

3. Medical Disclaimer

CuraTools is intended for educational and clinical decision-support purposes only. The tools, calculators, and content provided do not supersede the clinical judgement of a qualified healthcare professional. All results, scores, and outputs generated by the Platform are subject to verification by a licensed clinician before being used in patient care.

Patient stabilisation in emergencies is paramount. In any emergency or acute situation, immediate clinical intervention and patient stabilisation must take precedence over the use of any tool on this Platform. CuraTools must never be used as a delay tactic in emergency care.

The information and tools on CuraTools are based on published clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine. However, medical knowledge evolves, and users are responsible for verifying that the tools and their outputs reflect current best practices.

4. User Responsibilities

• Patient Data Protection: Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any patient data entered into CuraTools is handled in compliance with all applicable data protection laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), HIPAA (where applicable), and institutional policies.
• No Real Patient Data: Unless your institution has appropriate data processing agreements in place, you should not enter real patient identifying information into the Platform. Use de-identified or simulated data for learning and practice.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Accurate Information: You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

5. Account Terms

One account per user is permitted. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are non-transferable. CuraTools reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

CuraTools offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through third-party payment providers (Paystack and Flutterwave). By subscribing, you agree to the payment provider's terms of service.

• Subscription fees are billed monthly in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the payment provider's refund policy.
• CuraTools reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, content, and tools, is owned by CuraTools and protected by intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of data they input into the Platform. By using CuraTools, you grant CuraTools a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CuraTools shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• The use or inability to use the Platform.
• Any clinical decisions made based on the Platform's outputs.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• Errors or omissions in the content of the Platform.

CuraTools is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating healthcare professional.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using CuraTools, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Modifications to Terms

CuraTools reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Termination

CuraTools may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
